The Katsina State Director of Sports, Alhaji Umar Aliyu Saulawa, has changed the state athletes to redouble their efforts in order to win more medals at the ongoing National Sports Festival (NSF) in Delta State.
He gave the charge Sunday shortly after Akinlabi Saddiq won a silver medal for Team Katsina in Judo in the 81kg category.
The Director of sports advised the athletes not to rest on their oars but maintain the tempo so as to make the state proud.
Saulawa who assured the athletes of more support from the government and people of Katsina acknowledged the efforts of the State Sports Commissioner, Dr Bishir Gambo Saulawa, towards the development of sports in the state.

Team Katsina have so far won one silver and three bronze in judo and para-powerlifting for a total of four medals.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Salihu, yesterday won two medals in Para-Powerlifting for Team Nasarawa at the National Sports Festival taking place in Asaba, Delta State.
He won one silver and one bronze medal respectively in the Male 107kg Category.
The success recorded by Salihu brought Team Nasarawa’s medal haul to three after Grace Haruna won bronze in judo-78Kg female category.
The host Delta State who are the defending champions of the National Sports Festival are currently on top of the medals table.
