Hoodlums have allegedly killed a man and abducted his wife, and another woman while on their way to their farm at Abejukolo, in Omala LGA of Kogi State.
Locals from the areas said the incident happened around 10am on Monday when the gunmen opened fire, killed the man and took away two women in his company to unknown destination.
The deceased, popularity known as John Plumba, was said to be a member of the vigilante in the community.
A source from the family of the abducted women at Abejukolo noted that the hoodlums on Monday evening called the family of the abducted women via a cellphone number of one of the kidnapped woman, demanding N8m before setting them free.

The chairman of the Omala local government , Hon Ibrahim Aboh, confirmed the incident on Tuesday to Daily Trust, saying the police and DSS are on top of issue.
The Kogi State Police Command’s spokesman, SP William Aya, did not respond to calls and text mes-sage on the matter.
