Pensioners give FCTA 2 week’s ultimatum to pay 33 months arrears

The FCT chapter of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners has given the administration a two-week ultimatum to resolve the 33 months’ arrears owed its members.

A statement issued on Monday by the chapter’s secretary, Comrade Mohammed Bida, said the members had last year planned for a peaceful assembly at the FCTA secretariat, but that the minister had assured them that their arrears would be paid, a promise that has not been fulfilled till date.

He said effective December 9, 2022, the pensioners will start occupying the FCTA secretariat if the arrears are not paid.
