Borno to spend N1.3bn on biggest cattle market

The Borno State Government has earmarked N1.3 billion to remodel and revitalise the biggest cattle market in the northeast region.

Kasuwa Shanu as fondly called used to be the biggest and busiest cattle market due to its proximity to sub-Saharan Africa before the advent of the Boko Haram crisis.

The market was severely hit due to the activities of the Boko Haram insurgency in the northeast.
