The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has handed over a brand-new milk refrigerating van, 100 pieces of milk collection cylinders and a 20KVA generator to Kano dairy cooperative union as part of the FG’s measures to improve a hygienic dairy business in the state and the country in general.
Speaking during the official handing over of the items to the Dairy cooperative leadership on behalf of the ministry, Kano State director federal ministry of agriculture, Alhaji Baba Gana, revealed that the federal government has done a lot to see that the dairy sector is transformed for maximum benefit, adding that two milk collection centres have been built and handed over to the cooperative as well as training of members on different aspects of the dairy business.

“FG will continue to complement the seriousness of the dairy cooperative till we attain the level of efficiency in quality as well as address the issue of availability and modernizing the whole business processes,” he said.
Receiving the items, chairman of the dairy cooperative Malam Usman Abdullahi stated that words alone cannot express their appreciations to the ministry, stressing that the cooperative will effectively put to use the items received.
