The recently concluded 2022 Minna Annual Polo Tournament truly lived up to these noble billings, as the most popular annual sporting fiesta in Niger State.
Polo Royals report that the fiesta that got off to a tantalizing style on November 14, maintained its high profile tradition, and after five days of bumper-to-bumper campaign for honours, the prestigious polo extravaganza climaxed with fanfare last weekend as defending champions, EL-Amin outpaced all comers to keep their treasured IBB Cup title.
To cap an impressive double victory, EL-Amin also retained the Abdulsalami Cup just as the Georgian Cup all time champions were honoured for their decades long supremacy as the kings of Minna high-goal polo.
Other top finishers of the prestigious polo fiesta include Kaduna Trappco who defeated Abuja 313 team to clinch their first ever Governor Cup title in Minna.

Polo Royals also report that the Abuja Profile Group team also won double glory after out pacing the hard fighting home Boys, Minna Maizube Farm polo team 4-3 in a closely fought final game to cart home the Emir of MInna Cup and the Wushishi Cup respectively.
The late Senator Idris Kuta Cup race was an all Minna affair as Minna JV ran out the champions, while their arch rivals Minna Bosso smiled home with the Runners-up prize.
