El-Rufai bans private waste collectors

Governor of Kaduna State Nasir el-Rufai has warned private waste collectors to stop operating in the state with immediate effect.  

 The governor, who spoke through the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Shehu Balarabe, said those who want to remain in the business should join hands with ZL Global Alliance.

“The directive to cease operations and cooperate with ZL Global Alliance was communicated to the private waste collectors at a meeting between the governor, the ministry and private waste collectors which was held in July 2016,” he said.
