President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday expressed his condolences over the demise of a former Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr Shettima Mustapha.
Buhari, in a statement issued by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, said the deceased, who in 2007 was appointed Minister of Defence in the cabinet of the Late President Umaru Yar’Adua, left behind an indelible record of contribution to national development.
He described late Mustapha, who was also a former Minister of Interior, as an outstanding academic, administrator and politician.
“The Late Shettima was indomitable, full of life and insightful. He had strong belief in Nigeria’s strength and capabilities. He inspired many generations of Nigerians to believe in our agriculture.
