A team of policemen and vigilantes on Tuesday have arrested an armed robber and retrieved guns from armed robbers while they were sharing their loot at Ogidi in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.
The DPO of Ogidi, Mr Ahmed Sani, told newsmen that the police team stormed the robbers’ hideout following credible information.

Sani said that the criminals, on sighting the security operatives, shot at them, and that in the ensuing gun battle, one of the robbers was shot on the leg while another escaped with a bullet wound.
The DPO further said that the operatives recovered two rifles, a pistol and a local gun, adding that the security operatives were combing the area to arrest the fleeing criminals. (NAN)
