Residents of a certain area in Ibadan have taken a bizarre but hilarious step towards stopping power supply disconnection in their area.

In a photo tweeted by the Ibadan Electric Distribution Company (IBEDC) twitter handle, a tortoise attached to a power pole with red cloth was spotted, believed to scare away anyone attempting to disconnect the residents power supply.

The photo was captioned; : “Lol, some Nigerians will do anything to avoid paying bills. As seen in Oyo state. Have a great week!

The act which is believed to be some form of ‘juju’ has been seen as a desperate attempt by these residents who seem to want an escape route off power disconnection by the IBEDC officials.
