Plateau: Why we kidnapped nursing mother – Suspects

One of the kidnappers of a nursing mother who was abducted at Gimbi village in Wase LGA of Plateau State, Hero Abu, has explained their motive.

Hero, who was arrested alongside two other members of his gang, said, “We kidnapped the woman because her husband stole three rams from our house. We went to his house to kidnap him but we didn’t meet him, so we kidnapped his wife.”

The Commissioner of Police (CP) in the state, Bartholomew Onyeka, while parading the suspects, explained that, “On 23/10/2022 at about 1630hrs, while acting on a tip off that one Muhammed Buba ‘M’ aged 20 years of Gimbi village, Wase LGA, was seen at Sunnah Clinic in Dengi, Kanam LGA, with a deep cut on his right hand and so was suspected to be a criminal, police operatives attached to Bashar Division swung into action and arrested him.”
