The senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Jigawa North East, Nuraddeen Muhammad, has hailed the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over his visit to the Emir of Hadejia and Chairman, Jigawa State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje Haruna, following the recent flood disaster in the area.
Muhammad, a former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, described the visit as critical to his senatorial zone, saying the gesture has given them hope.

He promised that the PDP administration would give flood management top priority if elected in 2023.
Atiku, who earlier donated N50m to those affected, also attributed the floods to climate change, saying his administration would tackle the avalanche of challenges affecting the nation.
