Students sensitised on sexual, gender-based violence

An NGO, Women’s Rights and Health Project (WRAHP), on Monday, sensitised students of Igbo-Owu Junior Secondary Schools, Lagos, on Social and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).

The Executive Director of WRAHP, Mrs Bose Ironsi, said the project had built the capacities of 20 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Oshodi, Isolo and Ojo LGAs with the theme: “Building Capacity of CSOs to Promote Uptake of Justice-Related Social Services”.

She explained that the essence was for the CSOs to effectively respond to incidences of SGBV in communities.

Mrs Yeside Olatobi, the principal of the school, said the programme was a positive move that would educate students about things happening around them.
