The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) has accused the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate of avoiding debates ahead of the elections because they have nothing to tell Nigerians.
Tinubu was absent at the presidential debate organised by ARISE TV on Sunday. The director of Public Affairs of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council had said Tinubu was absent because he had other engagements and that he preferred talking to Nigerians directly.

The PDP-PCC in a statement by Kola Ologbondiyan, spokesman, Atiku/Abubakar Campaign Organisation said Tinubu and his running mate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, are running away “from national debates for fear of facing probing questions from Nigerians.”
Ologbondiyan said Nigerians would want to ask Tinubu questions on his alleged “stinking corruption record, reported proxy treasury looting, obvious incompetence, ethnic bigotry as well as his alleged masterminding of APC’s anti-people policies that wrecked our nation in the last seven and a half years.”
Meanwhile, the Director General of the Obi-Datti Campaign Organisation, Dr Doyin Okupe, has asked Nigerians not to vote for presidential candidates that dodge presidential debates and sent their running mates.
