Qur’anic school pupil drowns in Kano well

A 12-year-old student of a Qur’anic school, Ya’u Suleiman, died inside a well at the Rummawa Gabas area in Ungogo LGA of Kano State.

Spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, disclosed this to newsmen.

He said, “We received an emergency call at about 9am from one Muhammad Musa that a boy had fallen inside a well and we immediately sent our rescue team to the scene.

“The victim, Ya’u Suleiman, was brought out of the well unconscious and later confirmed dead. His corpse has been handed over to Village Head of Rummawa Gabas, Zaharaddini Sule Ibra-him.”
