Osimhen now Nigeria’s all-time Serie A top scorer

Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, produced a phenomenal performance for his club against Atalanta in the Serie A on Saturday, in Bergamo.

The Nigerian international scored a goal and provided the assist for what became Napoli’s game-winning goal.

He has now scored seven goals in his last six games. Napoli extended their unbeaten run in the Italian top flight with a 2-1 comeback win over Atalanta.

Osimhen’s compatriot Ademola Lookman opened the scoring for Atalanta in the 19th minute from the penalty spot.

However, Osimhen and Napoli fired back instantly to restore parity in the 23rd minute, according to Goal.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli from Lille just over two years ago for an African record transfer fee, recorded the landmark feat with the goal.

Before the match against Atalanta, Osimhen was tied on the same number of goals (31) as fellow countryman Simy Nwankwo.

But with his goal on Saturday, the 23-year-old has surpassed the former Crotone hero.

Meanwhile, Twitter users are hailing the Nigerian International.
