The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday said that, 124,963 Permanent Voters Cards have remained Uncollected in Sokoto State.
According to the electoral body, some of the PVCs were laying unclaimed in their office since 2019.

At the stakeholders meeting, the Administrative Secretary of Sokoto INEC, Barrister Hauwa’u Aliyu said
148,446 voters cards were issued to local government areas from 2019 to date but only 24,483 were collected.
Mrs Aliyu noted that, they embarked on Campaign Finance Tracking and Monitoring.
“The Staff of the Commission will be at campaign venue and rallies to track the expenditures of political parties and their
candidates,” she disclosed.
She said that the commission was working round the clock to ensure the success of the 2023 election.
She, however, appealed to political parties to avoid derogatory remarks during their campaigns and to desist from defacing posters of candidates.
