Minna Polo Captain, Jamilu King confirmed his preparedness to welcome a full house of about twenty teams at the legendary IBB Sports Complex, with the highly revered IBB Cup leading the pack of four major prizes at stake.
The tournament is powered majorly by the State government and a consortium of blue-chip corporate organizations like Profile Group, which enjoys the patronage of polo-loving individuals like the former Military President, General Babangida, among others.
Minna Tournament Committee Chairman, Mohammad Babangida confirmed the readiness of the Minna Polo Club to host the glamorous polo fiesta that is one of the most attended polo tournaments in the country.
“We have also lined up a handful of individual awards and subsidiary cups are on offer for the winning teams, the Runners-up, and players who distinguished themselves during the fiesta.” Babangida added.
Our Checks also reveals that the highly anticipated Abuja Carnival Polo Festival earlier scheduled for early November would now hold sway in early December at the serene Guards Polo Club in Asokoro, with teams jostling for prizes in four major categories.
