He said, “I call this an epoch-making event because the agency is celebrating it for the first time since SERVICOM was inaugurated at NEMSA in 2018.”

Aliyu noted that the agency has come a long way and it will continue to ensure it delivers the mandate through quality service.

“If you want to satisfy a customer, give him quality service and exceed his expectations, and then you will have satisfied such a customer.

“I want to encourage you to remain focused on ensuring the enforcement of technical standards in ensuring the safety of lives and property in the Nigerian electricity supply industry,” Aliyu said.

The Director General, SERVICOM, Nnenna Akajemili, “We are running a government business and, just like banks, we should be well positioned to run it well. If you must run a business, you must be sensitive to all stakeholders, both internal and external stakeholders.

“NEMSA is about safety and compliance, so we should work to keep everyone that uses electricity safe.”

The CEO got a special award for leading reforms at NEMSA, while three top hard-working staff were awarded prizes, with the most hardworking award gotten by Mr Abba Paul, a clerical staff.
