The president also ordered that special fund released to institutions in 2013 and 2014 be investigated and any misappropriation of public fund should be brought to book.

The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Dr Abdullahi Bichi Baffa said this late on Monday during a briefing. He said the measure is in addition to the cancellation of the special allocations for projects that did not commence prior to August 2016 from the date of his appointment as TETFund boss.

Baffa  said over N200bn was recklessly disbursed  while the normal intervention that is to be given to all institutions got N50 billion.

He however said the fund was able to recover N74 billion from the N200 billion disbursed as special intervention fund and that investigation into the fund will soon commence.
