The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 39 suspects for culpable homicide rape, kidnapping, theft, and other crimes.
The suspects were paraded on Tuesday by the Commissioner of Police, CP Akande who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the operation, Ajani M. Owolabi.

Owolabi explained that the Command recovered the sum of N900,000, one locally made pistol, an AK-47 rifle, a car, 6 handsets, a torchlight, an empty gun magazine, a knife, 2 locally made guns, a cutlass, and 8 live ammunition.
He said that the Command’s operatives drawn from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Crack Squad carried out an intelligence-driven and crime-boosting patrol to criminal hideouts and apprehended the suspects.
He applauded the support rendered by citizens and assured that upon the completion of the investigation all suspects will be prosecuted.
On the forthcoming election, he urged all officers to beef up security towards guaranteeing a crime-free environment for electoral processes and political campaigns.
“In an active preparation for the 2023 general election, crime-fighting strategies have been designed by the Command to clear pathways for a smooth electoral process and ensure public safety, law and order during the election,” he stated.
