The Phyna’s machine: A look at Innoson’s G5T

Innoson Motors, also known as Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), is one indigenous vehicle manufacturer that has keyed into the auto policy of the federal government through the production of strong, durable and reliable cars befitting the African road condition; and affordable enough for the average Nigerian to buy.

In its kitty are various brands of vehicles suitable to meet the diverse driving needs of Nigerians and Africans. They include sedans, crossovers, SUVs, pickups, buses etc. with body designs.

The G5T is one of the new Sport Utility Vehicles in its growing line up. The IVM G5T also gained more popularity following its presentation to the winner of the 2022 Big Brother Nigeria (BBN) Reality Show, Phyna.

The G5T is a small-sized SUV and most likely a 5-seater model. Though the engine displacement and transmission have remained unknown, it is suspected to be powered by either a 1.6 or 2.0-litre, which is obviously a 4-cylinder power plant.

The exterior is modern with daytime running lights and powerful taillights. The interior is spacious as it features a 12-inch infotainment screen with the seats wrapped in leather for extra comfort. The entire dashboard oozes class. Innoson has often said it is a part it never toys with in its design.
