IGP commissions new divisional headquarters in Abuja community

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba Alkali, on Tuesday, commissioned the ultra-modern Kurudu police divisional headquarters in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the FCT.

Usman was accompanied by the FCT Commissioner of Police (CP), Sunday Babaji, and other senior police officers of the command.

The IG, while commissioning the edifice, said it would boost the welfare of officers in the division for effective discharge of their duty in line with standard best practices.

He said the commissioning marked the beginning of many more to come, while reiterating his commitment to ensure proper welfare packages for personnel.

The FCT CP, Babaji, while expressing gratitude on behalf of the officers and men of the command, promised adequate use of the facility to fight crime in the nation’s capital.

He called on members of the public not to relent in furnishing the police with useful and actionable information relevant to advancing the command’s crusade against crime.
