Ohanaeze youths back INEC on cleaning voter registers, want culprits prosecuted

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youths Movement, on Tuesday charged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that all those behind fake voter registrations are prosecuted.

 The youths also passed a vote of confidence on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, for his determination to clean the voters’ register.

 Addressing journalists in Abuja, the Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo youths, Nwada Amaka, lauded the commission for reviewing the nation’s voter register.

 This, Amaka said, is part of efforts aimed at ensuring that only genuine voters took part in the coming elections, adding that it would also help in confidence-building and credible election.
