Jaiz Bank Plc, Nigeria’s foremost non-interest lender, has appointed Dr. Sirajo Salisu as its Managing Director/CEO, it announced yesterday.
The appointment, which takes effect from October 16, 2022, has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria, Jaiz said in a letter to the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Dr. Salisu succeeds incumbent MD, Mallam Hassan Usman, who is retiring.
Before his new appointment, Dr. Sirajo was the Executive Director of Business Development North of the bank. He is a Certified Risk Manager; Fellow, Institute of Credit Administration, and Honorary Senior Member Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
He comes to the new position with over 28 years of banking experience, with more than a decade of that being at the top management level.
Dr. Sirajo joined Jaiz Bank Plc in 2016 and served as the Regional Manager South while supervising the Treasury Department. In 2018, he was appointed as the Chief Risk Officer and was later elevated to the position of Executive Director of the Bank.
