Ayu’s vote of confidence reinvigorates party’s unity – Media aide

The vote of confidence passed on the national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Iyorchia Ayu, would in no small measure bolster the unity of the party, the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Communication to Ayu, Yusuf Dingyadi, has said.

He stated this while addressing newsmen on the side-line of the northern Nigeria writers’ summit in Katsina.

He said the party has an internal mechanism with which it always resolved its in-house problems, adding that with the vote of confidence passed by major stakeholders from across the country, the party is at the threshold of resolving the recent internal crisis, assuring that the PDP will emerge stronger.

“We have already resolved almost all the problems that are affecting the party and with this vote of confidence and support by our national leaders, from the Board of Trustees (BOT), National Working Committee (NWC), National Caucus of the party, the chairman will continue with the good work, the reform that he has started to effectively reach our target of smooth victory in 2023,” he said.
