The Federal Government of Nigeria has ordered that all flags in Nigeria and Nigerian missions abroad be flown at half-mast on Sunday, September 11, 2022, and Monday, September 12, 2022, to mourn the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Nigerian government’s order was contained in a statement signed by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, and made available to journalists on Saturday in Abuja.

He said the order was in honour of the Queen who was the Sovereign of the United Kingdom, and Chairman of the Commonwealth.
