An Ebonyi State legislator, Maria Ude Nwachi has advised gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, against posting content that shows an unnecessary display of affection on social media.
The lawmaker who is representing North-East of the state’s House of Assembly reacted to the viral post of Pastor Blessed giving his new wife a brand-new SUV for her 31st birthday.

Nwachi who expressed dissatisfaction with the act, condemned the gospel singer, describing it as an “unnecessary show off”. She further asserted that a little investigation into their acts “might burst a lot.”
The lawmaker wrote, “Mercy Chinwo & hubby, avoid unnecessary show on social media. Don’t invite scrutiny on yourselves. Biko. Clarification: this type of show by a woman of the Bible will bring nothing good for her. One investigation into their doing might burst a lot and those hailing them won’t be able to help them out of it.
“The investigation can come from the source and to find something no dey hard. To make displays that beg to be scrutinized is very very unwise because your subliminal request will surely be answered if you keep it up.
“Nollywood actresses do these packages and it’s okay but not her type. I did not post that package because I felt sorry for her as she knows not what she is doing. Allow trouble to sleep in peace, no wake am. Thank you.”(sic)
It could be recalled that on the 5th of September, the musician, Mercy Chinwo who celebrated her 31st was gifted with a Sport Utility Vehicle(SUV) by her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa of Waterbrook Church.
