Sanusi meets Osinbajo, keeps mum

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, on Wednesday visited Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Sanusi and Osinbajo held a closed-door meeting at the Vice President’s Wing of the State House.

The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria declined comments when approached by State House correspondents on his mission to the Villa.

The emir simply said: You can just report that I came to the villa,"

Sanusi had last August advised President Muhammadu Buhari’s government to reverse its economic policies in order to avoid former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration’s pitfall.

Also last December, the emir condemned plans by President Muhammadu Buhari to borrow $29.96 billion for the country, saying it would be difficult for the loan to be granted because Nigeria has five exchange rates.
