The Coalition of Kaduna New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Youth (COKNY) has petitioned the state chairman of the party, seeking the replacement of the governorship candidate, Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi, alleging that he is a stooge working for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The youths, who staged a protest at the state secretariat of the party carrying placards, submitted a petition to the state chairman, Mr Ben Kure.

But, the gubernatorial candidate, Senator Hunkuyi, in a swift reaction, described the group as faceless.
In the petition, signed by Comrade Abdullahi Adamu and Comrade Muhammad Salisu, chairman and secretary of the group respectively, they are urging the party to urgently replace the former lawmaker.
Hunkuyi said: “All the allegations against me cannot be substantiated; it’s a mere attempt to undermine my candidature, but I can tell you it’s a joke taken too far, which will not yield any result whatsoever.”
