Two persons have been reportedly killed in a rival cult-related fight between Eiye and Aye cult groups in the last 72 hours in Edo State.
It was gathered that one Taiwo Edigie was killed and his head decapitated, along Oho Street, Uselu, while another yet-to-be-identified person was killed along Imuetiyan Street, off Ojo Road, all in the Ugbowo axis of Benin City.

The state command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, confirmed the incident, saying 30 suspects have been arrested over the cult-related fight.
He said on August 25, the police received information about the ongoing cult fight along Oho Street, Uselu, and that on getting to the scene, they found the decapitated body of a young man later identified as Taiwo Edigie, 40.
He said Commissioner of Police Abutu Yaro specifically warned members of Eiye and Aye to stop their violent rivalry, which has resulted in avoidable deaths, or be ready for more arrests and prosecution in the days ahead.
