Encourage us to be good leaders, Ogun gov tells politicians’ spouses

The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has called on wives of politicians and government functionaries to encourage their husbands to lead by example at all times while exhibiting the quality of humanity, transparency, honestly and accountability.

He also urged them to come up with innovative ideas that would bring more empowerment programmes and raise the pedigree of the womenfolk in the state.

Abiodun made this call in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, when he received the executive members of the spouses’ association under the aegis of the Spouses of Ogun State Government Functionaries Association (SOSGFA), led by his wife, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun.

Earlier, the  President of the association, Mrs Abiodun, commended the government for its giant strides in all sectors of the state’s economy, maintaining that the adoption of the “Nigeria For Women Programme” and the “Oko’wo Dapo” had become reference points for women empowerment in the country.
