The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ogun Area (I) Command impounded 3,154 bags of foreign rice equivalent to five trailers in July, 2022.
The command also intercepted two trucks belonging to the Dangote Group with 300 bags of rice concealed with bags of cement.

The Area Controller, Bamidele Makinde, said this on Tuesday at a press briefing.
Makinde said the Dangote trucks were intercepted on Ibese Road in Yewa North LGA and at Lafenwa in Abeokuta.
He also disclosed that the command made seized 724 kegs of petrol, 310 cartons of frozen poultry products and 14 motorcycles and other vehicles used by the smugglers.
He said other seizures were 153 bales and 68 sacks of clothing, 79 sacks of shoes, 111 cartons of foreign wine and 16 sacks of used bags.
He put the Duty Paid Value (DPV) of the seizures at N311,924,551.
