‘It’s difficult to address Nigeria’s problems under APC, PDP’

The governorship candidate of the Accord Party (AP) in Katsina State, Muhammad Barau Tanimu, has said it will be difficult for any politician to address the challenges facing the country under the governments of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking at a press conference in Katsina Sunday, Tanimu said he joined AP because both PDP and APC had no ideological differences.

He vowed to transform Katsina in security, education, health, infrastructure, among others, if elected governor in 2023.

He said three factors were the major impediments to addressing acute insecurity in the state: “One of these factors is genuine intention to fight the menace.

“The second issue is that of finance, as the money is not genuinely put where it is supposed to be.

“The last issue is that of technology. We are in the 21st Century. I have not seen technology really deployed in fighting insecurity.”
