Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, says spreading fake news about Nigeria will discourage investors and other meaningful opportunities for the country.
Speaking in Abuja weekend at the 15th International Arts and Crafts (INAC) EXPO 2022, he Nigerians to protect the image of Nigeria for it to make progress.
He noted that for Nigeria to be great, it has to pass through challenges.
He also urged Nigerians to tolerate one another.
According to him, it is important to introduce the use of cultural diplomacy in settling issues in the country.
He said through the cultural sector, unemployment and insecurity could be reduced.
Runsewe said the event was an opportunity to showcase the strength of the country.
On her part, President, National Council for Women Society (NCWS), Lami Adamu Lau, appealed to the youth to use the opportunity of the EXPO to acquire skills and become self-reliant so that they would not be used by politicians as thugs during the elections.
