Court starts fresh rape trial of Niger teacher

A Minna magistrates’ court in Niger State on Wednesday transferred the rape case against a Teacher, Usman Galadima, who raped 13 pupils.

Galadima (48), Assistant Head Teacher of Central Primary School, Karabonde, was said to have committed the offence in August, 2021.

The prosecutor, Inspector Jibril Ahmed, told the court that the case which was last heard in February, 2022, had to start afresh following the transfer of the Judge, Hajiya Sa’adatu Gambo.
