A witness said fear gripped the residents when they sighted three corpses, one each at three popular junctions in the town, during the early hours of Tuesday.
He said, “We woke up on Tuesday morning to see three bodies of young men at the popular junction of Aija and two other junctions in the town.”
Another resident who simply gave his name as Adejo said a rival cult fight was a yearly ritual in the town, stressing that a clash led to the killing of many cultists on a street in Ega last year.
Contacted, the spokesman of the police in the state, William Aya, said the command was yet to establish the causes of the deaths, noting that only two corpses were found at two different junctions in the town on Tuesday.
He said when men of the command got information about the incident, they moved to the scene, took photographs and deposited the corpses in the hospital.
He said no arrest had been made yet, but that they had commenced an investigation.
