The Ogun State Government has expressed concern over the growing scale of illegal pharmacy premises and patent medicine stores operations, especially in border towns.
To this end, the government said it will no longer tolerate activities of illegal pharmaceutical operators, warning that those found wanting would be sanctioned.

The permanent secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Kayode Oladehinde, made this known during the 8th Mandatory Orientation Programme for Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors in the state.
Oladehinde lamented the growing operations of illegal pharmacy premises and patent medicine stores, saying the state’s pharmaceutical inspectors have been empowered to deal with individuals engaging in the unauthorised selling of prescription drugs.
