The Edo NAPTIP Zonal Commander, Bar. Nduka Nwanene, said the competition was part of activities marking the world day against trafficking in persons and to also sensitize the students on the danger of irregular migration and human trafficking.

He said the agency has been moving round schools in the zone sensitizing students on the danger of irregular migration and human trafficking.

“NAPTIP believes in catching them young, if children are aware of the danger of irregular migration and the antics of traffickers, they would not be deceived into embarking on the journey to Libya in search of greener pasture”.

Speaking after receiving the trophy, Western Boys team leader, Samuel Oyebamwese, attributed their success to practice and hard work.

He called on those involved in human trafficking to stop exploiting people for money while government should do the needful for the citizenry.
