The parents of a housewife in Kwankashe, Suleja in Niger State have been arraigned before a magistrates’ court sitting in Madalla for abducting their daughter from her matrimonial home.
The prosecutor, ASP John Ateni, told the court that the accused, Godgift Ekwedi, and his wife, Eshima Ekwedi, went to their daughter matrimonial home at Rafinsanyi area of Suleja and took her away without the consent of the husband.

He said they also removed house items worth N2.5m from the house and converted it to their personal use.
The accused persons denied the allegations and sought bail.
The Magistrate, Ruth Ibrahim, granted them bail with a surety who must be resident of Madalla and adjourned to September 5.
