Tension has gripped Okengwe area of Okene LGA of kogi State as a man was burnt to death by a mob over ritual practices.
A witness said the incident happened on Sunday afternoon at the Okengwe-Ogori junction on the way to Ibilo in Edo State.

The source said the man was alleged to have used a white handkerchief to hit a boy, causing him to disappear.
The news of the alleged encounter of the man and the said missing boy was said to have gone wild, which triggered youths to descend on the man.
Another witness said, “I saw this man at the popular filling station at Okene roundabout on Friday afternoon. He looked rough and behaved like someone that has an impairment in the head.’’
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Okene LGA, Abdulrazaq Muhammad, has condemned the act and charged security operatives to fish out the killers of the man.
A call and an SMS to the state’s police spokesman, SP William Aya, on the incident were not responded to as at the time of this report.
