The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, has called on Nigerians, particularly politicians to join hands with the federal government to tackle insecurity instead of making issues out of Muslim /Muslim or Northern/Northern presidential tickets ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He made the plea during his speech at the end of a three-day fasting and prayer session held in Ilawe Ekiti, Ekiti State.

At the occasion, which attracted both Muslims and Christians, the Alawe urged the federal and state governments to always carry along traditional rulers in the fight against insecurity.
The monarch advised religious leaders to shun bigotry and intolerance in all their activities, calling on all Nigerians to live together in peace and support the government in bringing peace to the country.
