Osagie commissions ‘first-in-Nigeria’ Keffi FMC’s electronic medical record facility

The Minister of State for Health, Dr.Ehanire Osagie, has commissioned Electronic Medical Records  (EMR) and 200 KVA solar power installation at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, Nasarawa State.

Osagie who commissioned the project yesterday during the Keffi FMC’s 2017 Health Week event tagged The Electronic Way, the Excellency Way, said the projects executed by the centre would remain indelible in the annals of health care in the country,

“Your state of the art innovation, the Electronic Medical Records (EMR), the first in Nigeria, the solar power initiative and others, have stamped your name and the centre indelibly in the annals of health care  in this great nation. What I witnessed today is a state of institutional harmony at FMC, Keffi,” he said.

Earlier in his remark, the Medical Director of the center, Dr. Giyan Joshua Ndom,  said the collection of fees had also been made electronic in keeping with the anti-corruption stance of the federal government.

He said, “Since FMC came into existence in 2000, we have strived to fulfill our three core mandates, that is the provision of Tertiary Medical Care Service  to our people, training of the manpower needed and the conduct of Research.”
