A magistrates’ court sitting at AB Wali Complex of Kano metropolis has remanded a man, Lawan Kala (40), for raping a 10-year-old girl.
The prosecutor, Asma’u Ado, told the court that the accused, a resident of Burji village in Doguwa LGA, “lured and deceived the minor into an uncompleted building in Burji and had carnal knowledge of her.”

The defendant denied the charges.
The Magistrate, Mustapha Datti, ordered that the defendant be remanded in a correctional facility and adjourned to August 26.
