The preliminary fixtures of the 2022 edition of the Aiteo Cup national competition will kick off on Tuesday, 26th July at nine men and three women centers across Nigeria.
This was contained in a memo signed by Mohammed Ameenu on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation acting director of competitions, dated July 21, 2022 and sent to all the secretaries of state football association.

“Sequel to the National Draws held on Wednesday, 20th July 2022, I am directed to forward to you, the fixtures of both the men and women categories of the 2022 Aiteo Cup national competition.
“More significantly, you are hereby notified of its commencement on Tuesday 26th July 20022 at nine men and three women centres across Nigeria.
“You are therefore requested to notify all participating teams within your association of their respective schedules of matches. Dates and time of subsequent rounds shall be communicated to you as outcome of stages unfold,” the memo stated.
It will be recalled that the Club Registration in each state commenced on Sunday May 1 and ended on May 13 while submission of complete player licenses was fixed for 14 May.
The NFF directed the State FA to charge Fifty thousand (N50,000) for the Competition Registration and 40 percent which is Twenty thousand (20,000) was paid into the Federation account.
Aiteo Cup competition is sponsored by AITEO Group and Bayelsa United are the defending champions.
