Gov’t plans increase pupils’ enrolment

The Chairman, Benue State Universal Basic Education, (SUBEB), Rev. Phillip Tachin, has disclosed that plans were in the offing for more pupils’ enrolment into primary schools across the state this year.

Tachin in an interview with Daily Trust in Makurdi, Benue State, said that the board will in addition to the federal government’s school feeding programme expected to commence soon in the state will introduce computers in all the public primary schools.

“We will also give out free gifts to pupils in primary schools across 23 local government areas of the state as well as engaged stakeholders in massive campaigns, especially at the rural areas to attract children back to school,” he said.
