The farm supervisor of a late former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, Mr Christopher Bakare, has been kidnapped.
City & Crime learnt that Bakare was kidnapped on Saturday evening on the premises of TDB Farms at Jabata area of Surulere LGA area of the state.
Confirming the development to our correspondent on Tuesday, the state’s police spokesman said the police were investigating the incident, adding that updates would be provided.
Meanwhile, a family source in Ogbomosho told our correspondent that the gunmen had contacted them and owners of the farm and demanded N100m.
He said, “Mr Bakare was kidnapped on the farm amid gunshots. We have been trying to negotiate with them even though the police have been informed.”
When contacted, the state’s Commandant of Amotekun, Colonel Olayinka Olayanju (Rtd), said he was not aware of the incident.
