The police in Edo State have arrested a suspect, Ahmed Ibrahim, who specialises in stealing plasma TV sets from hotels in Edo State.
It was gathered that the suspect would book rooms in the hotels and while checking out would steal TV sets from the rooms.

It was also gathered that the suspect was arrested with the TV sets while attempting to travel with them to Abuja.
The command’s spokesman, SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, said the suspect was arrested on July 14, after the command received a complaint from one Mr Adekunle Olalekun, the Manager of Mindcast Hotel, Ekpoma, that on July 13, one Ahmed Ibrahim booked for three rooms in the hotel.
Nwanbuzor further said, “Shortly after booking the rooms, the said Ahmed Ibrahim left the hotel unnoticed with his luggage that he came in with, unknown to them that the three TV sets in the three rooms he booked were what the suspect packaged in his luggage when checking out.”
He said through discreet investigation and intelligence gathering the suspect was traced to a cattle market in Ekpoma where he was arrested.
He further said the suspect confessed to have stolen the hotels’ three plasma TV sets and six others from two other hotels.
He added that the suspect stole three plasma TVs from Beverly Hills Hotel, Ekpoma, Edo State, and three others from a hotel at Mazamaza area of Lagos State.
