The police in Oyo State have arrested two siblings, Enos Noah and Shadrack Noah, for being members of a robbery syndicate, with other members being Olubunmi Femi and Opeyemi Wasiu.
Daily Trust reports that Enos confessed to being an informant to a robbery syndicate led by his elder brother, Shadrack, and Wasiu.
While parading the suspects at the command’s headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Williams, said Shadrack and Wasiu were intercepted and arrested by men from Ogun State Police Command at Mowe area along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The police boss said, “On 23rd June, 2022, a case of conspiracy and armed robbery was transferred from Ikoyi-Ile Police Divisional Headquarters. In furtherance to this, on 25th June, 2022, one Enos Noah was arrested and confessed to being an informant to a robbery syndicate led by his elder brother, one Shadrack Noah and one Opeyemi Wasiu. On 20th June, 2022, the syndicate robbed one Atanda Taiwo in his residence at Iluju village via Ikoyi-Ile where the sum of N99,600, phones, etc, were carted away.
“Interestingly, Shadrack Noah and Opeyemi Wasiu were intercepted and arrested by men from Ogun State Police Command at Mowe area, Lagos Expressway while fleeing with two laptops, one Rolex wristwatch, phones and accessories and the sum of N120,000.”
