Court remands woman for pouring hot water on neighbour

A Shari’a court in Kano State on Wednesday ordered that a 29-year-old woman, Hafsat Isah, who poured hot water on her neighbour, be remanded in a correctional centre.

Hafsat, who lives in Hotoro Saye Quarters, Kano, was charged with causing grievous hurt.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Abdul Wada, told the court that one Muhammed Musa of Hotoro Saye Quarters reported the matter at the Hotoro Police Division on July 4, that the defendant poured hot water on the complainant after a quarrel.
